Ooh the Joys of August

Well, August has come and gone. It was an eventful month for Becky and I. We ventured up to the Great White North for my best friend's wedding. This picture is of his bachelor party. I am sad to say he did not wear the pink Speedo I had bought him. It was still fun, we went to Stanley Park and then to Macaroni's for dinner. The ceremony was beautiful, I got to be the best man and was very honored to do so. God was definitely part of the ceremony and is definitely part of their marriage. We enjoyed the time and enjoyed the friends we could see that have been absent in our lives for too long (see Andyman Haak's and Tyler Hagan's blogs).
This trip was followed by Tyler and his wife staying with us for the week on their vacation. It was great to see them and spend time with them, it was just too short though.
Our next endeavor involved a trip to Moses Lake. We spent last weekend with my parents. It was good to be home, see my folks. Spend the weekend before my birthday with family. Good to see my mommy and my daddy. They got a new house bunny, named it "Peterwabbit." It was a great weekend.
We got home to have another house guest, a guy that Becky lived by and I stayed with during the college years, he took us to see the BEST Batman movie ever (sorry Mr. Keaton). Batman Begins is a grade "A" movie, it was great to see. I would recommend it to all who have ever dreamed of flying and kicking butt the old fashioned way (with "Pow" and "Whack" crossing across the screen).
That has covered the last few weeks. Saturday we get another house guest (a friend of Becky's from Tacoma) but with this house guest comes a brand new kitten! So that has been my last few weeks. The next few are very exciting though!
We have a 5th quarter on Sept. 16 for Satellite.
Sept. 13 and 14 we have our student leadership teams meeting. This will be a new exciting year for those wanting to get involved in leadership.
Sept. 20 and 21 are our fall kick offs! It will be a great party, lots of fun! Come one come all! I have the fall calendars, if you haven't gotten one yet, let me know and I will get you one. Remember to give them to your parents if you haven't already!
I will leave you with a couple pictures from our Echo all nighter that occurred August 13th. It was alot of fun and it was great to see everyone there!
