Great Times

It has been another great weekend. Friday night we had a movie night, Robin Hood and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure were quite enjoyable. There was also a bit of Halo going on. It was a little difficult because I have not had anyone buy me Halo 2 or another controller yet, I guess I can wait until Thanksgiving though. It was still enjoyable to be creamed by guys who have spent more of their life behind a gaming console than I have. Saturday was a good day. Some Church leadership meetings that were quite productive and encouraging brought the leadership board and Church staff even a little bit closer.
Sunday was an even better day than Saturday though. Becky was in the nursery (not so great to not be with her, but still okay) and I was able to drive the Jetta to Church! I was able to show the beauty off to a few people, making some wish they could attempt to cram into the trunk with as many people as possbile (current record is 4, one of which was RJ).
This was all followed by a very vigorous game of football at Schiffler. I must say, my team won, and I threw a couple of sketchy hits (sorry RJ). If y'all would like to come play next time, we will be playing again on the 23rd, and it doesn't have to be contact. This game happened after the Seahawks had wonderously beat the Rams on the Rams' home turf, oh how sweet it is! This was a great day for all fans of the mighty Hawks, this feat had never been accomplished before Sunday. With this I tell my wife, I am wearing the suspenders!

I leave you now with a quote. D Lo, I expect feedback.

The word religion is used nowadays in a very loose sense. Some people, under the influence of extreme Protestantism, employ the word to denote any serious personal convictions as to morals or the nature of the universe.

Russell has a point. It's kind of funny, but as regards the basic definitions of many things--including how we define truth--many theologically orthodox Christians find themselves more in league with Athiest/Agnostic persons than with theologically heterodox Christians.

I'd also like to point out that there were no -isms used there :) .

But seriously Matt, was it you that got me hooked on that movie? I think it was, at Alanna West's basement suite a few years ago (yes, it was before she was married!)
