People

So I am sitting here, in the Pacific University library, thinking how funny people are. I know I am not too far removed from the college scene, but I also know my college scene was extremely unique. The people I am seeing here are just interesting. They all have their own lives, their own quirks, their own thoughts and beliefs. If I am a pastor, if I am a Christian, what I need to do is reach out to these people around me. I need to show them any way possible how great the love of Christ truly is. Having "The Scripture Way of Salvation: the Heart of John Wesley's Theology" in plain sight next to me might open up a conversation, but how else can I show people love? As I sit here and struggle with how I can reach out to the guy who has a look of fear and confusion, I want to wish you all a very happy thanksgiving. Think about it this weekend, as you might find yourself with family members who do not know the awesome love of Christ, the free gift of salvation given to those who just accept Him. Try to reach out and show the love. As you do that, also think of Kristin P., as she is getting her wisdom teeth pulled today, she will be turning into a chipmunk, and I wish I could see it. Maybe her family will take pictures that we can put up in the Youth Center.
As for me, I will just pray for this guy I see, I'll pray for God to send him a special blessing, maybe that will be from me, we'll see.
