Perfection and Green

Well, it has been a busy bit of time for the wifey and I. She has been hired on as the Director of Children's Ministries here at Garland. Something I'm very proud of her for. It adds to the busy of life though, I will say that. She works about 15 hours a week, half at home, half at the office. This puts juggling Kate to be something we haven't been accustomed to, but deal with. Part of the difficulty in all of this has been second vehicle issues. It is not that we don't have one, we do (now). It is that the second vehicle has cost almost the amount we paid for it to get it in a satisfactory condition running wise. A fuel purge deeley, the air filter casing, a switch in the transmission, new rear tires, new rear brakes, new rear struts and (coming next week) new rear tie rods have caused me to be a bit worrisome recently. It will work out, but if you have any extra money around your house, don't hesitate to send it our way!

Now is the happy stuff. Eastern Washington is the best half of the best state in the world. It's amazing. If it isn't the consistent 90-100+ weather we've been having (with no humidity) it's the beauty of it. From the rolling farm land of the Columbia Basin to the trees of the far East, I love it all. The other evening Becky went for a jog and I decided to strap the child to my back and take off for a walk myself. It was 7 pm and still at least 85 degrees! It's just great to have such an amazing area to be in! Throw in the fishing, camping and hiking, it's just amazing!

Anyways, that's life for us, below is a picture of our new car. Gotta love the VW. This happens to be a 96 Passat.

sorry bro, but moutains and ocean are WAY better than rolling farmland. E-WA is the embarassing part of washington! But, at least your back in WA. :)
