Two cities, Two Snows

Spokane hit record snowfall, 17" in a period of 24 hours (over two feet by the time it stopped snowing). Pretty intense. We didn't drive the first day (I did get down to the hardware store to buy a new pair of bibs and a snow shovel) but dug, rocked and pulled our car out the second day. Below is the picture of the block of snow that wouldn't leave the car until we hit the freeway to Tacoma.
We went came over to the West-Side for Christmas celebrations. We left two days early so as we could, which was Friday evening. We parked the car at the Walgreens a block away, since our car is too low to make it on our street, for me to load it up. It took me four trips and I imagine I looked peculiar, trekking in the snow, laden with bags and bundled in my bibs.
Then, we were off, at 6pm. Our plan was to hit Moses, enjoy their piddly half inch of snow and then quell the pass at a decent hour. To quote a great man: "I love it when a plan comes together." Can anyone tell me who that great man is?We made it over here, no hick ups. The problem arose when we found the snow here. This is not okay, Tacoma is not supposed to have snow. We got 4-6 inches Saturday to Sunday morning (darn, skipped Church) and another 4-6 Sunday afternoon to evening. WHAT? Here is our car this morning, I get to shovel the driveway after breakfast. I just can't believe how much snow there is, we're in Tacoma! Do you understand what this means? It means it is global warming! Right? Snow=Global Warming, right?

Anyways, I'm sure there will be more sporadically through this week. I'm attempting to get better at this (again) and prepare myself for my hopes of Grad School and the many papers that will ensue with that.
