Maranatha!

"Grace" by Eric Enstrom

Isn't it funny that I only get comments if I say something that people don't like? With that in mind: You are a smelly head!

I don't really mean that. I really don't, you are quite cool and your head doesn't smell at all, well, that one time on the retreat it had a slight odor, but it was barely noticed!

Things have been going around here, my wonderful wife is getting bigger and bigger (she's pregnant for those who don't know) and it's great! This morning when we got up we hugged (we need moral support to start our day, it's tough waking up) my Baby ________ kicked me! It was a love kick we have determined, because she already knows that she has the most wonderful daddy in the universe.

To my title: Maranatha means"Come Lord!" and is something that I've been feeling a lot recently. In examining what God has in store for Becky, ______ and I, it's been a constant battle. Focusing on God's direction and will while trying to be true to what He has called me to do is tough, it is not easy. It is also tough knowing that you are not devoting yourself to Him like He has called you to. Look at the above picture, a man simply thanking God for his daily bread. He has his Bible out, he has a purpose and devotion. Look at St. Francis below, the pain and anguish in his eyes. Look at how he is praying, looking to God while knowing he is nowhere close to Him. I need to devote myself to God like St. Francis did, always being in fervent prayer.

I can tell this is going to a confused path, so I leave this now. One cannot cry "Maranatha!" without expecting the reply of "Makrothumia, my friend, Makrothumia!"

Thank you Rev. Dr., you are a good friend.

In your searching today, cry Maranatha, but listen for the Makrothumia in reply!

Now you hold on one second! Are you looking at another man and saying that you should model yourself after him? I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding that.

Hey, look first to Paul, if you looking for a man to model yourself after. Remember that by God, through the spirit, he was led to guide and build the church.

First thing is first; If you have trouble focusing on God, its probably because your mind is not framed spiritually and you aren't in constant focus on God. It IS a tough thing, I know!! The problem is this world we live in. There is so much that our body aches for that we tend to take more heed to. When our body aches like that, its sometimes a great opportunity for 'ol Stan to step in and lead you away. He's a clever being. Hahaha

You contradict yourself in there, unless I'm mistaken to the meaning or your words. You cannot focus on Gods will, but then not go where He is leading you. What I mean to say is that focusing on His will and following where he leads you are one and the same. You can't do one without the other. Where He leads you is His will. If your mind is framed on Christ, and you wear the Armor of God, then you will follow His will and please Him. Remember that.

If ever you feel anxious, remember Philippians 4:4. Rejoice!!

Now see, what is wrong about trying to be a better christian like st. francais? Any Christian that loves God with their heart is worth modeling after really.

Everyone has trouble focusing on God when you're caught up in life and all the stuff going on, not the world we live in but just human error in general so you can't say that you havn't gotten "caught up in teh moment"
