Shooting!

So, this weekend Becky and I went out to an archery range here in Portland (there's one just past the zoo) and Becky got a bullseye! I am incredibly proud of my wife, she's just astounding! I will say, she has made me so happy knowing that she enjoys archery, something I've done since I could pull a bow back. She has also made my dad extremely happy, which she will see this weekend when she gets a few presents (she needs more arrows, so this is much needed!) that he made for her.
Another exciting thing coming up is an archery shoot. This weekend we are going to the wondrous Moses Lake for an archery shoot! This is not just any archery shoot, this is THE archery shoot. My dad is responsible for this shoot. He has been in charge of setting it up for about a decade and many people around the Northwest declare this "Mike's Shoot" and make it the one shoot they cannot miss. I had to miss it this last year, and two other years during college. This year I get to go again, I'm pretty excited because my dad also made me another bow, one that's lighter so I can shoot it alot more. So that's something I'm pretty excited about.


Other things that have happened: still pray for Jeff. He was at Church yesterday, but he really needs our prayers in his healing and recovery. I know he would greatly appreciate phone calls and e-mails. He gets pretty bored at home all the time.
Other things coming... ELEVATE IS COMING! We have a free concert at the Church, Monday, MAy 15th at 730 pm. Elevate, an acclaimed rock/worship band from my alma mater, is headed down here! They are going to be playing at 5525 SW Menlo Dr. here in Beaverton. You must come! Issakar (another acclaimed band from the Portland Metro area) is going to be opening for them, with guest speaker Victor Avlarizares. I'm super stoked about this, they are a great bunch of guys coming to entertain our ears while leading our hearts into worshipping Him. I hope y'all can make it!
